Meeting With Partners Within The "Severodvinsk - A City Free From TB" Project

On October 27, EB Fund and Severodvinsk TB specialists had a meeting which summed up preliminary results of the three-year project "Severodvinsk - a City Free from TB".

The agenda highlighted the achievements of the team in Severodvinsk, among which the fruitful work of the TB department team on the use of such patient-centered technologies as video-supported treatment, active case finding (homeless people, migrants, unemployed, etc.), identification of TB and LTI among this cohort and modern schemes of treatment of the latter (with the use of rifapentin). The health workers of the department actively participated in HC trainings – these sessions have become particularly relevant recently, when the workload on health personnel has increased 5-10 times.

In previous years, the department's team has been actively involved in information campaigns, training of volunteers and participating in many events held within the framework of both Russian and international projects.

The project is moving on. The medical community of Severodvinsk has the task to complete the project successfully, despite the challenges that we have in connection with the pandemic. It was also significant that the participants of the meeting touched upon further cooperation, discussed ideas and proposals for writing new projects aimed at preserving the health of Severodvinsk citizens.
