Conference “Tuberculosis And Co-infections. Lessons Learnt And Forecasts”

On March 21-22, within the project "Severodvinsk - a City Free From Tuberculosis" a scientific conference "Tuberculosis and Co-infections. Lessons Learnt and forecasts" took place in Arkhangelsk, timed to coincide with World TB Day. The conference presented the epidemic situation of tuberculosis in the Northwestern part of Russia, covered issues of MDR/pre-XDR/XDR-TB treatment, new approaches to the organization of preventive TB treatment, the specifics of managing TB-HIV patients, and much more.

The conference was attended by TB doctors and infectionists from the Arkhangelsk Oblast, as well as doctors from the Murmansk Oblast and the Komi Republic.

EB Fund shared progress on current projects and also showed an animated film "Miracles of Prevention", developed with the support of the Governor's Center of the Arkhangelsk Oblast.
