08.04.2022 A Conference For Pediatricians and Phthisiatricians In Arkhangelsk On 7 April

The meeting involved pediatricians and phthisiatricians of the Arkhangelsk Oblast, a leading specialist of the Arkhangelsk Ministry of Health Irina Blinkova, representatives of the Governor's Center Tatyana Nekipelova and Elizaveta Boyko/ The conference was moderated by EB Fund: Nina Nizovtseva and Aleksandra Staritsyna.

Vasily Podoinitsyn shared the process of creating images, choosing a color scheme and sources of inspiration for the animated film on TB prevention, created with the support of the Governor's Center of the Arkhangelsk Region.

We have a great news: the Arkhangelsk Oblast is close to eradicating TB. TB incidence is also steadily declining in the partner areas: the Komi Republic and the Murmansk Oblast.

23.03.2022 Conference “Tuberculosis And Co-infections. Lessons Learnt And Forecasts”

On March 21-22, within the project "Severodvinsk - a City Free From Tuberculosis" a scientific conference "Tuberculosis and Co-infections. Lessons Learnt and forecasts" took place in Arkhangelsk, timed to coincide with World TB Day. The conference presented the epidemic situation of tuberculosis in the Northwestern part of Russia, covered issues of MDR/pre-XDR/XDR-TB treatment, new approaches to the organization of preventive TB treatment, the specifics of managing TB-HIV patients, and much more.

22.03.2022 Animated Film On TB Prevention Is Ready

As planned in the Remarkable Doctor project, the video will be shown in the waiting rooms of children's appointments in hospitals of the Arkhangelsk Oblast (or even wider) as a means of advancing knowledge and additional measure to prevent tuberculosis.

The EB Fund team has planned to hold a few meetings with the primary care workers to discuss issues of tuberculosis prevention today. The pandemic has affected our life, and due to the deterioration of the epidemic situation in the region, the conference and a seminar were postponed to April 7, 2022.

04.02.2022 The Second OR Course Has Been Successfully Completed In Arkhangelsk!

On 28 January 2022, the second SORT IT course in Arkhangelsk was completed. We are very pleased that specialists from different regions of Russia took part in this course!

02.02.2022 The First Year Of The "Syktyvkar – A Territory Free From TB" Project Is Complete

The feature of the project in Syktyvkar is that it adapted the positive experience of colleagues from the project "Severodvinsk - A City Free from TB" on the detection and treatment of latent tuberculosis infection. Specialists of the Republican TB dispensary supported the idea of active LTI and TB case finding and early modern treatment.

As part of the project, we are creating a video on tuberculosis prevention alongside with a creative Arkhangelsk motion design team "Northern Fire".

22.12.2021 EB Fund Team Became A Participant Of A Videoconference Dedicated To HIV Infection And Tuberculosis In The Barents And Baltic Sea Region

On December 14 EB Fund participated in a videoconference dedicated to HIV infection and tuberculosis in the Barents and Baltic Sea region. The conference was held by experts from the Steering Committee of the Program to Combat HIV and TB in the Barents Region and the Expert Group on HIV, TB and Associated Infections of the Northern Dimension Partnership.

01.12.2021 EB Fund and LHL International Partnership Meeting in St. Petersburg

Within the X Congress of the National Association of Phthisiologists, a Partnership meeting between EB Fund, partners and LHL International was held in St. Petersburg.

The X Congress of the National Association of Phthisiatricians in 2021 was held in St. Petersburg on November 25-26 in a hybrid format: TB specialists were given the opportunity to participate in symposia and round tables physically, but the majority worked online.

22.11.2021 Training Of TB Doctors Continues Online

On 15-20 November 2021 there was another start of an online course"Innovative Approaches to TB Treatment". Around 30 TB specialists from North-West Russia attended the course. 15 phthisiatricians from the Komi Republic had a training course within the "Syktyvkar - a Territory Free from TB" project.

Every year EB Fund representatives take part in the events held for the NARFU student community aimed at the prevention of infectious diseases and formation of awareness to their own health.

12.11.2021 Early Dagnosis Is The Foundation For Ending TB!
Our cooperation with the Arkhangelsk Clinical Tuberculosis Dispensary continues from the first day of EB Fund existence. Together we have implemented many programs and projects aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, as well as the detection of other diseases.

29.10.2021 Participation In The 52nd Union World Conference On Lung Health
On 19-22 October 2021 thanks to the financial support of LHL International and the Ministry of Health and Care Services six representatives from the Northern State Medical University, EB Fund and Tuberculosis Service of the Arkhangelsk Oblast and one representative from the Komi TB Service and one from the Murmansk TB Service participated virtually in the 52nd Union World Conference on Lung Health.

On October 27, EB Fund and Severodvinsk TB specialists had a meeting which summed up preliminary results of the three-year project "Severodvinsk - a City Free from TB".

05.10.2021 Online Course "Innovations In Treatment And Management Of Drug-Resistant TB" By WHO CC Latvia
On September 20-22 and 27-28, 2021, the WHO CC for Research and Training in Management of MDR TB held an international online course "Innovations in treatment and management of drug-resistant TB”, which was attended by three specialists from the Arkhangelsk Oblast and one from the Komi Republic.

05.08.2021 The Results Of The First Governor Grants Of The Arkhangelsk Oblast Have Been Summed Up

On 1 August, 2021, the results of the first competition for the Governor Grants of the Arkhangelsk Oblast were announced. 277 applications were submitted for the competition, and the EB Fund was among the winners with the "Dear Doctor" project, which is aimed at strengthening the interaction of the primary care and TB service in the prevention of tuberculosis, as well as reducing the stigma to this disease among the population Arkhangelsk oblast.
