We Believe in a Miracle!

Elza was born in Azerbaijan.  She was raised by his dad as her mom died when she was only 1 month. Throughout her little life experience (Elza is 16 now) she managed to live in Vladimir, Severodvinsk. In the city of shipbuilders she finished school (9 grades) and came back to the hometown where she learnt a profession of a make-up stylist.

Tuberculosis rushed into Elza’s family unexpectedly: she got fever and cough first. Elza started to treat cold, but she was still coughing and that made her to apply for medical help. After examination TB was diagnosed.

Elza stayed on Tb treatment and started to feel better: cough and fever vanished. However, at the end of treatment Elza experienced fever again, coughing and languor were back. Relatives living in Severodvinsk gave her dad to apply to the Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary.  

Elza appeared to have XDR-TB. Treatment of XDR-TB takes a lot of time, patience and obedience of a person and also requires substantial finance. Treatment of one person with XDR-TB involves more than one million rubles!

Fortunately, there is still a few kind folk in the world! Easy Breathing Charity Fund together with A. Maryandyshev applied to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an international humanitarian independent organization. Médecins Sans Frontières forwarded treatment and Elza found hope to beat XDR-TB!

Regretfully, the Arkhangelsk Oblast still has XDR-TB patients in a waiting line for necessary treatment. In a new 2017 Easy Breathing Charity Fund will make every effort to create for the region better future without XDR-TB.

It’s a New Year Eve’s shopping bustle now! Everybody is waiting for the miracle!
