Operational Research in Arkhangelsk

From July 3 to July 15, the first and second modules of the Course on Operational Research are held. Coaches from Norway and Arkhangelsk began training 8 participants in the course.

The purpose of the first six-day module is to develop a concept of what an operational research is and  to design a research protocol. The training strategy for the module is as follows:

• to use lectures and discussions to focus on key areas of operational research and protocol development;

• to show examples of completed and published operational research projects to demonstrate the principles and practice of operational research;

• to participate with participants in discussions on how to formulate research questions and develop a research methodology;

• to facilitate the preparation of study protocol participants.

The third module is planned to be held in 2018, and publication of the articles of the course participants is also planned.
