Training of specialists of the antituberculosis service of the Komi Republic

The cooperation between the Ministry of Health of the Komi Republic the LHL International Tuberculosis Foundation (Norway), Easy Breathing Charity Fund (Russia), Northern State Medical University continues in the project "Reduce the burden of tuberculosis in the Komi Republic" within the framework of the international program "Stop TB in the Northwest Russia in our lifetime "(2014 - 2018). From October 30 to November 3, 2017, on the premises of the regional TB dispensary and the department of Phthisiopulmonology of the NSMU, specialists from the Komi Republic were trained on the topic "Implementation of WHO recommendations on TB control following the example of the Arkhangelsk Oblast". Workers of the TB Dispensary and the Department of Phthisiopulmonology shared their findings and new patient-oriented technologies used in TB diagnosis and treatment in the Arkhangelsk Oblast.

The next planned event within the framework of cooperation will be an interregional scientific and practical conference with international participation "Organization of bacteriological monitoring of tuberculosis in the Komi Republic", which will be held in Syktyvkar on November 24, 2017.
