Congratulations to the Winner!!! Together We are Twice as Strong!

On December 15, 2017 at the forum of the Arkhangelsk region "Lomonosov Assembly",  there was a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Arkhangelsk Oblast, summing up the anniversary year and presenting awards to the winners of the "Heritage of the North" contest. Nina Nizovtseva, chair of the EB Fund, took part in this event.

19 organizations and institutions fought for the win in the nomination "Non-Production Enterprises". And we are proud that one of the winners was the State Budget Institution of Healthcare of the Arkhangelsk Oblast Children Sanatorium named after M. Favorskaya!

It happened so that the sanatorium is the same age as our Oblast:  The sanatorium "Evda", which is now named after its founder Mariya Nokolayevna Favorskaya, was established on October 25, 1937. Maria N. Favorskaya had been the head of the sanatorium for 26 years, leaving a significant impact on the lives of not only sick children, who was treated there and saved from death, but also of all employees of the sanatorium.

 "She devoted herself to children completely, the sanatorium was both the house, and the family for her. To these babies, these "birdies" - she gave her heart and her soul (G.N. Golovina).

For 80 years of work of sanatorium a lot has changed: new TB drugs have emerged, tuberculosis has become curable!!! But there remained still one thing there - loving attitude to sick children. Since 2001 the main doctor of the sanatorium has been Elena Gennadyevna Sbrodova - a person of extraordinary, irrepressible thinking, all aspirations of whom are aimed at the development of her institution!  The team also puts heart into their work, seeking complete cure of the disease, helping each of the children grow physically strong and healthy, intellectually and emotionally-developed, to make every child cured from TB take place in life, to work for the benefit of our region and country.

For many years the EB Fund cooperates with the children's tuberculosis sanatorium named after M. Favorskaya, participating in various projects aimed at carrying out additional complexes of rehabilitation measures for patients, improving the conditions of their staying there.

In December 2017 our collaboration starts a big project which is called "Breathe Easily!" : This is a presidential grant that includes 3 steps– 

Step 1: From December 2017 to 30.04.2018; 

Step 2 from 01.05.2018 to 31.08.2018; 

Step 3 from 01.09.2017 to 30.11.2018.

So we wish all of us successful implementation of the project, making a certain contribution to the fight against TB infection!
