Conference in Arkhangelsk Devoted to 95th Anniversary of the TB Dispensary

On 27-28 March a technical conference Eliminate TB dedicated to the 95th Anniversary of the Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary was conducted The Conference was attended by 70 medical workers of Arkhangelsk Oblast, Komi Republic, TB service specialists. The Conference was also attended by A.G. Samoylova, Deputy Director for "National Medical Research Center of Phthisiopulmonology and Infectious Diseases" under the Ministry of Health of Russia (Moscow) Z.M. Zagdyn, Chief Scientific Officer of the Central Research Institute of Phthisiopulmonology (St. Petersburg). Interesting presentations were made by the Chief TB doctor of the Arkhangelsk Oblast and North-Western Russia, Professor A.O. Maryandyshev, Assistant Professor A. Gayda, 6th course student T. Guryeva.
On 28 March at the premises of the Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary district TB specialists were engaged in practical issues of improvement of TB control activities in the areas of our Oblast aimed at the wider use of patient-oriented approach, sharing experience of TB examination of persons from contact with TB infected patients, providing them with preventive treatment and further medical supervision.
