TB Service of the Komi Republic 2017 and plans for 2018

On April 11, 2018 within the framework of the Russian-Norwegian project “Reduce the Burden of TB in the Komi Republic” a technical Conference TB Service of the Komi Republic 2017 and plans for 2018 was held. The Conference was attended by more than 50 TB and AIDS Center specialists, health care facilities staff.
Irina Kondratyeva, Head of the Department of Medical Assistance of the Ministry of Health of Komi, opened the Conference.
During the Conference the following issues were discussed:
1. The epidemiological situation of tuberculosis in the Republic of Komi - Toinova S.V.
2. Changes in the provision plan of TB medicines in the Republic of Komi - Zhiglova E.N.
3. Patient-oriented approaches in the treatment. Video-supported treatment of tuberculosis on the example of the Republican tuberculosis dispensary- T. Bondareva. 
4. The results of treatment with new TB drugs in patients with extensively drug-resistant TB in the Arkhangelsk Oblast - A. Gayda
There were also reports of other specialists.

The Conference ended with the discussion, summarizing and identifying areas for further work.
