ATTENTION: TB PREVENTION IN CHILDREN!

The regional scientific and practical conference held in Arkhangelsk on October 13, 2018 was devoted to the modern problems of diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis in children.

The conference was attended by pediatricians of Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk and Novodvinsk.

Phthisiatricians of the Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary Polina Smirnova, Olga Zolotaya, as well as the head of the outpatient Department of the Pushkin TB dispensary of the Leningrad region PhD, associate Professor Alexey Derevyanko presented interesting reports to colleagues on the epidemiology of tuberculosis; prevention and early detection of tuberculosis in children and adolescents; screening of tuberculosis in children; on the use of Diaskintest in the diagnosis of tuberculosis in children and adolescents.

Nina Nizovtseva, chair of the Easy Breathing Fund also delivered a speech at the conference. She told the conference participants about the activities of the Fund, the implementation of the presidential grant "Breathe easy" and presented the booklet "Simply about serious: Children and tuberculosis", devoted also to modern methods and approaches of prevention and diagnostics of children's tuberculosis. The booklet is angled towards a parents audience – mums, grannies, daddies and granddads!
