Together We Live and Breathe! Summing Up the Results of the Presidential Grant
On November 8th the closing Round table within the framework of the project "Live and Breathe", funded by the presidential grant, in Krasnoborsk was held.
The Round table was attended by more than 50 participants, mainly from pediatric and pedagogical community of the Arkhangelsk region. Olga Zolotaya, Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary Child TB Doctor and Elena Nikishova, Professor of the Department "Phthisiopulmonology", NSMU were invited to the event.
The outcomes of the presidential project "Live and Breathe" were presented by Nina Nizovtseva, the Chair of the EB Fund, and Elena Sbrodova, Head Doctor of the Children's TB Sanatorium named after Favorskoy.
According to the plan, a lot of activities aimed at improving the health of young patients who are in a difficult life situation due to the disease have been carried out to the children, They got stronger, their psycho-emotional state improved.
Meetings with representatives of different professions, with the railroad workers, forestry workers, pool sessions and equestrian club were pointed out by the Sanatorium workers as the most effective activities. As noted by Marina Sen'kina, mentor at the Sanatorium, organized trips outside of the Sanatorium broaden the horizons of the children, provide an opportunity to make new acquaintances, and, most importantly, make them more sociable and disciplined.
The presentation of the booklet "With the Simple Words About Importnat Things: Children and Tuberculosis". The booklet is compiled as a dialogue between the doctor and parents about such an infectious disease as tuberculosis, about the ways and importance of its prevention. The booklet is made with the participation of real parents and for parents. It will be distributed by pediatricians and phthisiologists of the Arkhangelsk Oblast.
