We Have Expanded to the New Area!
In June 2019, the EB Fund together with Russian and Norwegian partners started implementing projects approved by the Ministry of Health of Norway.
There are three such projects: “Reduce The Burden of TB in the Komi Republic" This is the final stage of 3-year cooperation.
2. “Reduce The Burden of TB in the Murmansk Oblast” - this is a new initiative in this area.
Projects include the following components:
- competence strenthening of health workers in the tuberculosis service and those employed in the field of diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection;
- higher treatment success rate by means of patient-oriented technologies: greater use of outpatient treatment by introducing digital health elements: Video Observed Treatment (VOT).
- better tuberculosis monitoring, which is a key component in successful controlling of tuberculosis and tuberculosis / HIV infection. Introduction of InIT- TB information system would sipmlify workload of TB specialists and provide connection to the remote facilities. The automated tuberculosis monitoring system will also be integrated with the Federal Register.
These technologies were successfully applied to the Arkhangelsk Oblast from 2013 to 2017, which led to a significant improvement in the epidemiological situation of tuberculosis.
3. The pilot project “Severodvinsk — A City Free From Tuberculosis” started in Severodvinsk. The project is aimed at elimination of morbidity and mortality from tuberculosis among residents of this city of shipbuilding.
Not only medical workers of Severodvinsk will take part in the implementation of the project, but also other services: City Employment Center, Department of Social Protection and Guardianship, Administration of Federal Migration Service in Severodvinsk.
Currently, the Fund negotiates with the leadership of the organizations and institutions that will participate in the projects.
