Health Communication in Murmansk

One of the topical issues regarding the organization of tuberculosis treatment is the ability of TB specialists to communicate effectively with patients. From November 18 to 22, 2019, within the framework of the international project “Reduce the Burden of TB in the Murmansk Oblast” EB Fund organized a Health Communication training in Murmansk. The seminar was attended by 16 health workers of TB service. Hedvig Amdal, an experienced trainer of LHL International (Norway), facilitated the training. Modern techniques of effective communication with patients and colleagues, practices of dealing with stress and professional burnout, practices of controlling and managing emotions were learnt. In the future, the seminar participants will use their knowledge when working with TB patients who have to undergo long-term treatment.
