Coordination Council

On February 26, 2021, a Coordination Council was held online at the TB dispensary department of the Severodvinsk city hospital, which was attended by the department team, A. Maryandyshev, professor, MD, chief phthisiatrician of the Arkhangelsk Oblast and the North-West Federal District of Russia, E. Nikishova, professor, MD, Nina Nizovtseva , Chair of the Easy Breathing Fund.

The Coordination Council considered the problems of timely detection of tuberculosis in Severodvinsk, the reasons for the late diagnosis. The issues of comprehensive examination of TB contacts and TB deaths and the need for preventive treatment were addressed.

The types of individual financial and psychological support for those in need from this cohort of patients were also identified.
