The online meeting was attended by representatives of Norway, Finland, Sweden and the north-western part of Russia: Murmansk and Arkhangelsk Oblasts, the Republics of Komi and Karelia.
The agenda of the meeting covered the epidemiological situation of tuberculosis and HIV-infection in 2020, strategies and action plans in the field of combating the spread of HIV- infection and tuberculosis in these territories.
Project Manager of Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) Dmitry Titkov shared the implementation of the project Cooperation in the Control of the Spread of Socially Significant Infections in the Barents Region.
Anna Eilertsen, Advisor of LHL International (Norway) gave an update on the current Russian-Norwegian projects with the Easy Breathing Charity Fund: Syktyvkar - a Territory Free from Tuberculosis (Komi), Reduce the Burden of Tuberculosis in the Murmansk Oblast (Murmansk Oblast), Severodvinsk - a City Free from Tuberculosis (Arkhangelsk Oblast), Structured Operational Research and Training Initiative (SORT IT).
Norwegian-Russian cooperation in northwest Russia has a long history and is aimed at achieving the global goal of the World Health Organization - TO STOP THE GLOBAL EPIDEMIC OF TUBERCULOSIS.

On April 22, 2021, a meeting of the Steering Committee of the Barents HIV and Tuberculosis Program was held, organized by Finnish partners.The online meeting was attended by representatives of Norway, Finland, Sweden and the north-western part of Russia: Murmansk and Arkhangelsk Oblasts, the Republics of Komi and Karelia.
