The Third Year Of The "Reduce The Burden Of TB In The Murmansk Oblast" Project!!

The cooperation between the EB Fund and the partners from Murmansk oblast and Norway moves on! We are happy to say that EB Fund has been granted the support from the Ministry of Health of Norway to continue the project activities from June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022 in the Murmansk oblast.The goal of the project is to improve the epidemic situation in the Murmansk region.

Such components as patient-oriented technologies, including video-DOT, will be continued and expanded.

At the same time the efforts of specialists of the regional anti-tuberculosis service will also be made at attracting key populations from high risk groups to examination for tuberculosis - these are people with weaker immunity - people living with HIV, TB contacts, migrants, unemployed, homeless people. The main task of the work is not only to find tuberculosis, but also latent tuberculosis infection in order to timely start preventive treatment and protect them from falling ill with tuberculosis in the future. In the Murmansk oblast kind of preventive work is new. We wish the specialists fruitful work!
