21.07.2017 Development of Cooperation with the Republic of Komi
July 18-19, 2017, the chief phthisiatrist of the North-Western Russia, Professor A. Maryandyshev, together with the representatives of the EB Fund, N. Nizovtseva and R. Vasilyeva, visited Syktyvkar.

17.07.2017 OR to be continued…
On July 15, the first two modules of the course on Operational Research were completed. The course was conducted in English. For two weeks the issues of data collection, analysis and presentation were discussed.

07.07.2017 Operational Research in Arkhangelsk
From July 3 to July 15, the first and second modules of the Course on Operational Research are held. Coaches from Norway and Arkhangelsk began training 8 participants in the course.

13.06.2017 Meeting with Norwegian specialists in Arkhangelsk

On June 13, a meeting with Norwegian specialists from Sorlandetsykehus of Kristiansand (Norway) was held at the premises of the Arkhangelsk TB dispensary. The guests held a few lectures on "Non-invasive Ventilation in Respiratory Distress", "Invasive Mechanical Ventilation" and "Early Warning Scores".

01.06.2017 International Chidren's Day
June 1 is globally recognized as a Children's Day. For the first time this Day was celebrated in 1950 within the initiative of the International Democratic Women's Federation. The UN supported the initiative and declared the protection of the rights, life and health of children to be one of the most important areas of its work.

31.05.2017 Participation of EB Fund in the implementation of the WHO DIGITAL HEALTH TB strategy in the Arkhangelsk Oblast
For more than ten years, an automated TB monitoring system inIT-MED has successfully been operating in the oblast, which resulted from the joint work of the MD, professor, A.Maryandyshev, MD. E. Nikishova, Ph.D. G. Balantsev, specialists of the Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary with the financial support of the Easy Breathing Charity Fund. The program is constantly being improved and expanded.

18.05.2017 Barents Tuberculosis Programme:10th Meeting of the Steering Committee.
In May 15, 2017 Arkhangelsk AIDS Center hosted the 10th meeting of the Steering Committee of the Barents TB Program with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Arkhangelsk Region and Easy Breathing Charity Fund.

26.04.2017 Scientists Discuss Modern Approaches to TB Issues in Teaching (Arkhangelsk)
On April 24-25, 2017, the meeting of the thematic working group on tuberculosis of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and WHO was held at the premises of the Department of phthisiopulmonology of the NSMU.

19.04.2017 To Parents' Attention
On April 19, 2017, at the initiative of the Ministry of Education of the Arkhangelsk Oblast, employees of the TB dispensary department of Severodvinsk hospital No. 1, representatives of the EB Fund and the administration of Severodvinsk met with parents and teachers of one of the children's kindergardens.

05.04.2017 Regional Conference in Arkhagnelsk, 5-6 April
On April 5-6, a regional conference was held in Arkhangelsk for medical workers involved in TB service. At the conference, reports were presented on priority areas for tuberculosis control in the world, Russia and the Arkhangelsk oblast, problems of diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis within reduced regimens of chemotherapy.

24.03.2017 World TB Day in Juvenile Facility
March 24, 2017 marks the World TB Day. Representatives of the Fund "Easy Breath" arrived this day in the Arkhangelsk juvenile facility which involves children from all over the North-West region. Being at risk, these children should be aware of the main problems of preventing tuberculosis and other pulmonary diseases.

21.03.2017 A New Fruitful Meeting in Severodvinsk!

Stop TB in NW Russia in our Lifetime project (2014-2018) is being successfully implemented! On 21 March, World TB Day, in the Severodvinsk TB department of hospital ¹1 a meeting of mayor’s office, the public, the hospital administration and medical workers with the city's media took place.

16.03.2017 Working in Kargopol

Specialists of the Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary and the EB fund manager conducted activities to prevent tuberculosis in Kargopol. On March 16-17, experts from the Arkhangelsk Dispensary S. Popova, I. Tarasova, A. Kropivny and fund manager A. Avdeeva visited Kargopol and analyzed all anti-tuberculosis activities in the Kargopol district in the central regional hospital. S.Popova, I.Tarasova, A.Kropivnv rendered practical assistance on the issues of providing antituberculous care to residents.

27.02.2017 Work in the Nenoksa village
On February 27, 2017, a group of experts from the city hospital N.1, Severodvinsk, N. Vlasova, S. Martynenko, M. Ilatovskaya and representatives of the fund "Easy breathing", N.I. Nizovtseva, A.A. Avdeeva, visited Nenoksa village for the purpose of carrying out preventive measures to combat smoking and assisting pulmonological patients, as well as to assist in the organization of a fluorographic survey of the population on a fluorobus, which was in the village from 27 to 28 February.

17.02.2017 Taught at School

Forewarned is forearmed is on track: it is widely known that knowledge is power! And the knowledge about health should be received in childhood. On 17 and 20 February EB Fund manager Sasha Avdeeva held a few activities on healthy lifestyle in the Novodvinsk School #3. Threre were 58 pupils of 8-9 y.o taking part in the activities. Children watched an episode from the soviet cartoon “Nu Pogodi!”

9 February 2017 team of workers from the Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary and manager of EB Fund I.Gvozdeva came to Bereznik village to discuss TB issues within the project Forewarned is forearmed.

29.12.2016 We Believe in a Miracle!
Elza was born in Azerbaijan. She was raised by his dad as her mom died when she was only 1 month. Throughout her little life experience (Elza is 16 now) she managed to live in Vladimir, Severodvinsk. In the city of shipbuilders she finished school (9 grades) and came back to the hometown where she learnt a profession of a make-up stylist.

05.12.2016 Sports Family Festival
The last month of the year 2016 has come. On 26 September the Council of Fathers alongside with the authorities of the Lensky District and EB Funds organized a sport event for both children and their parents (Forewarned is forearmed project). This activity is aimed at strengthening family ties and improving health of the growing generation.

18.11.2016 Coordination Council at the TB Department of the Severodvinsk Hospital #1

On 18 November TB Department of the Severodvinsk Hospital #1 hold a Coordination Council summing up the year work within the Stop TB in the North Wester Russia in Our Lifetime project (2014-2018). During the meeting a few reports were presented. N.V. Vlasova, Head of the TB Department, spoke about epidemiological situation in Severodvinsk through 10 months of 2016, voiced some suggestions aimed at higher quality of work in the department.

17.11.2016 International Stop Smoking Day
17 November is an internationally recognized smoking cessation day. During this day EB Fund has been invited as an expert to take part in the activities for students “Prevention first!” led by NARFU. The participants played a game "We know how to fight smoking".
