07.03.2018 Operational research: Module 3
From February 26 to March 5 in Arkhangelsk, the third module of the Operational Research course was conducted. The main goal of the module is to teach participants to translate research results into a draft article, which will be further submitted for publication. The training strategy was to teach the participants the principles and practice of writing a scientific article.

23.02.2018 Round Table in the Children’s TB Sanatorium
Problems of pediatric tuberculosis and its prevention were discussed at the Round Table, held in the children's TB sanatorium named after MN Favorskaya during the stay of the EB Fund team in the Krasnoborsky district. Specialists of TB cabinets, guardianship and custody departments of Kotlas, Velsk and Krasnoborsky districts participated in its work.

22.02.2018 Participation of the EB Fund team in Volunteer Assembly of Krasnoborsky district
In December 2017, at the All-Russian Volunteer Forum, Vladimir Putin declared 2018 the Year of Volunteers (Presidential Decree No. 583 as of December 6, 2017)
On February 16, 2018, within the framework of the Year of Volunteers, the Volunteer Assembly of the Krasnoborsky District was held, organized by the administration and teachers of the district.

21.02.2018 "Live and Breathe" project
The work on the project " Live and Breathe" is under way at the sanatorium named after MN Favorskaya, which received financial support from presidential grant. In January and February, the children of the sanatorium were given classes in the School of Health on the topics "What is immunity?", "Prevention of bad habits". Pool sessions began as part of the "Sport is the foundation of health!" event.

February 16, 2016 the deputy head of the administration for social policy of Krasnoborsky district Tatyana Vasilievna Ovchinnikova hold a meeting with medical and pedagogical communities, guardianship and custody body specialists, the team of the EB Fund and the public.

19.02.2018 Activities held in the Krasnoborsky district
In February, the EB Fund team visited Krasnoborsky district. Together with the authorities of the district, pedagogical and medical communities we held events dedicated to key health issues, promotion of healthy lifestyle in the younger generation.

02.02.2018 We Keep on Fighting!
On January 30, 2018 in Severodvinsk TB Department of Hospital No.1 there was a meeting of healthcare workers, which summed up the work of TB Service in 2017, set goals and objectives in 2018.
It was stated that over the past 5 years, thanks to the joint effort of medical society, authorities and public organizations epidemiological situation on TB improved greatly. The most modern techniques were applied in treatment and diagnostics of this infection.

31.12.2017 There are Still Miracles to Look For in Our Diverse World!!! And Here is the Proof...
In December 2016 on our website we wrote about the girl Elsa, who had big problems related to health. Then we wrote that we had received expensive medicines from the International Independent Humanitarian medical organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) for her treatment. A year has passed - Elsa was taking care of her health very carefully: she was taking medications on a regular basis and following all the recommendations of doctors. And today we are happy to announce that the girl is absolutely healthy. She beated her desease!

26.12.2017 Congratulations to the Winner!!! Together We are Twice as Strong!
On December 15, 2017 at the forum of the Arkhangelsk region "Lomonosov Assembly", there was a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Arkhangelsk Oblast, summing up the anniversary year and presenting awards to the winners of the "Heritage of the North" contest. Nina Nizovtseva, chair of the EB Fund, took part in this event.

24.11.2017 Reduce the Burden of Tuberculosis in the Komi Republic

The international project "Reducing the Burden of Tuberculosis in the Komi Republic" was launched in June 2017. Within the project there was held a scientific conference "Organizing of Bacteriological Monitoring of TB in the Komi Republic" on November 24, 2017 in Syktyvkar.

22.11.2017 Health System Competence and Capacity Building on TB Treatment and Diagnostics
A scientific-practical conference was held in Arkhangelsk on 21-22 November 2017 to share experience and new information on modern approaches to patient care from diagnosis to cure of tuberculosis.

08.11.2017 Health Communication for Medical Workers of the Arkhangelsk Oblast
A training on Health Communication was held for employees of the anti-tuberculosis service and the AIDS Center staff within the framework of cooperation and in accordance with the plan of international events of the Ministry of Health of Arkhangelsk Oblast for 2017. It was organized on 8-9 November in Arkhangelsk. The training was conducted by Norwegian partners Hadvig Amdal and Berthe Stenberg, advisors from LHL International. The 16-hour program included training in basic and advanced communication skills with elements of coaching.

30.10.2017 Training of specialists of the antituberculosis service of the Komi Republic
From October 30 to November 3, 2017, on the premises of the regional TB dispensary and the department of Phthisiopulmonology of the NSMU, specialists from the Komi Republic were trained on the topic "Implementation of WHO recommendations on TB control following the example of the Arkhangelsk Oblast".

27.10.2017 More Volunteers To Come!
EB Fund team and a NARFU lecturer held a seminar for students of the Higher School of Economics, Management, Law and Higher School of Psychology and Pedagogical Education on October 27, 2017, dedicated to the social relevance of volunteering, preventing tuberculosis, HIV / AIDS, bad habits, and the connection between smoking, tuberculosis and other diseases.

14.10.2017 Check Your Health in Turdeyevo 2017
October 14, 2017, similar to the previous year, in Turdeevo settlement there was an event called "Check Your Health" organized by the administration of Novodvinsk Hospital and EB Fund. The event was held within the framework of the international program "Stop TB in the North-West Russia in Our Lifetime".

24.09.2017 Healthy Lungs Activity during the City Fair
On September 21-24, 2017, during the big city Fair, Arkhangelsk Center of Prevention started an event called "Healthy City". Within this event EB Fund together with the workers of the regional TB dispensary, held an activity called “Healthy Lungs ". More than 100 people took part in it.

21.09.2017 The Global Problem: Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis
September 21, 2017 in Moscow, under the Russian-Netherlands bilateral working group on public health, a seminar was held in which the chairman of the EB Fund, N. I. Nizovtseva, took part. The seminar was held in preparation for the global ministerial conference of WHO "Ending TB in the era of sustainable development: a multi-sectoral response" (November 16-17, 2017) and the High-level Meeting on Tuberculosis of the UN General Assembly in 2018.

30.07.2017 Training Course for the Tajikistan Colleagues
From July 30 to August 5, 2017 in Arkhangelsk, Phthisiopulmonology Department of Northern Medical University jointly with the Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary and EB Fund conducted a training course "Modern issues of diagnostics and treatment of tuberculosis - implementation of the recommendations of the World Health Organization" for specialists of the TB program of the Republic of Tajikistan.
